Day 5

Day 5

Trading with Ricky Day 5: Today, the stock market was a bit unpredictable, and I didn't find any good opportunities to make trades that I felt comfortable with. @UpTwoBucks (Ricky), also seemed a bit unsure, especially during the EXT hours when I usually trade actively.

I didn't include my Profit/Loss (P/L) in today's journal because I decided to try shorting stocks for the first time. Even though I ended up making a profit, I thought it wouldn't be fair to count it in my P/L because these trades were more like practice runs. Since I'm using a paper trading account to learn Ricky's strategy and prove to myself that I can do this with real money, I didn't see the point in adding profits to my records that weren't from trades I would actually make with my own money.

However, as I continue to learn about shorting and incorporate it into my strategy, I'll start including it in my P/L and trade it just like I would with real money. Shout out to @Hennessy for coaching me through today's short trades and giving me some helpful tips on the BETS play, which he did great on. I think moving forward I will do my "test" trades on a different paper trading platform to maintain the authenticity of my paper trading account I have specifically learning Ricky's Pull Back method.
